The International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991, more commonly referred to as the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), is a body of the United Nations established to prosecute serious crimes committed during the wars in the former Yugoslavia, and to try their perpetrators. The tribunal is an ad hoc UN court which is based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
2018 will mark the 25th anniversary of the European Journal for Crime, Criminal Law and Criminal Justice. This occasion will be celebrated by a conference which will take place on January 25, 2018 at Maastricht University, the Netherlands.
