Konrad & Partners is inviting applications for the fifth edition of its Moot Court "Arbitrators’ Quest", which will take place in Vienna on May 24, 2019. This Moot Court is an annual competition where participants compete in a mock trial setting before lawyers from the Konrad & Partners’ International Arbitration Practice Group.
"Arbitrators’ Quest" aims at providing students and young professionals with an opportunity to gain first-hand practical experience in international arbitration with the help of the law firm's experienced arbitration practitioners. Like every year, the winner will be offered a paid two-month summer internship with the Konrad & Partners Arbitration Practice Group in their Vienna office, accommodation included.
The competition is open to students, graduates and young professionals with an interest in international arbitration. Applicants are expected to be reasonably familiar with general arbitration procedures.
To apply, submit your online application via e-mail to Ms Eugenia Mocanu (e.mocanu[at]konrad-partners[dot]com) by February 28, 2019, including a personal statement describing your motivation for participating in the Moot Court and for the internship, a detailed CV and an academic paper on the topic of "Subject-matter arbitrability", in the range from 1000 to 1500 words.
The deadline for applications is on February 28, 2019.
The top ten applicants will be selected to participate in the competition, and will receive a case file with instructions on how to prepare a written memorandum in support of a pre-assigned party to the dispute. Oral arguments will take place in Vienna on May 24, 2019.
