This summer school on International Law for Sustainable Societies is organised by the University of Groningen on July 3-7, 2017, in Groningen, the Netherlands. Its main aim is to explore the contribution of international law to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while devoting each day of the summer school to a particular theme such as Basic Human Needs or Crises & Good Governance. The summer school intends to highlight both the prospects and challenges of implementation of the SDGs by analysing these in the light of international law.
