The Conference Convenors welcome abstract submissions for the 2017 Annual European Environmental Law Forum Conference, which will be taking place at the Frederiksberg Campus, University of Copenhagen, Denmark on August 30- September 1, 2017. The conference is organised as a joint effort of the European Environmental Law Forum (EELF), the Nordic Environmental Law, Governance & Science Network (NELN+), the University of Copenhagen (Faculty of Science) and Aarhus University (School of Law).

The Conference’s theme is ‘Sustainable Management of Natural Resources–Legal Approaches & Instruments’. The aim of the Conference is to highlight key legal issues related to existing legal approaches and instruments as well as possible improved solutions to ensure sustainable management of natural resources. Such legal issues can be related to e.g. the design as well as the implementation of various legal instruments and approaches at EU and national level.

What?

Interested senior as well as junior researchers, including PhD scholars and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts which have a European perspective or relevance. The themes are: 1) water management, 2) biodiversity and nature management, 3) air quality management, 4) raw materials and waste management, 5) Ecological sustainability: fundamental questions and implications for environmental law and governance.

The deadline for abstract submission is on March 17, 2017.

Participants are kindly requested to cover their own transportation and accommodation fees.
