The organisers are pleased to invite submissions for the conference that will take place on 20-21, November 2018 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz, Austria.

What?

The organisers welcome either individual contributions from young scholars (post-docs or advanced PhD candidates) as well as experienced scholars that look at current transformations of citizenship related to one of the following streams:

New Institutions and Citizenship | Stream I: this panel treats questions on how new trends brought about by globalization affect citizenship. Union Citizenship | Stream II: this panel treats questions on the concept of the Union citizenship in European and international law. The ‘Anti-Citizens’: The Right to Citizenship and Imposition of Expatriation | Stream III: the panel questions the exclusion cases from the citizenship status. Unauthorized Migration and Citizenship | Stream IV. Belonging, Identity, and Community | Stream V: the last stream considers the boundary issues of citizenship.

When?

Submissions of abstracts of no more than 500 words describing your presentation should be sent together with a short bio no later than July 1, 2018 to This email address is being protected from spambots.
