Before casting your vote in the European Parliament Elections 2019 make sure you make use of the work and educational opportunities the EU Parliament is offering! These paid traineeships are meant to give you five months-long insights into the affairs of the European Parliament. You will be directly exposed to various administrative and substantive European issues and meet like-minded individuals from diverse national and cultural backgrounds.

There are three types of traineeships that you can apply for:

  • General Traineeship (see criteria below)
  • Journalism Traineeship (you must provide evidence of work experience in the journalism field, be qualified in journalism, or be a member of a journalism association within the EU)
  • Sakharov Traineeship (you must have a particular interest in international human rights law)

Who?

You must have graduated a diploma of at least three years, a valid criminal record, have a good command of the English language, and must not have worked for more than two consecutive months within an EU institution or body.

This is a paid traineeship of € 1,313 per month.

How?

Register online here and complete the online application form. You will need a Europass CV and one motivation letter per traineeship.

When?

Apply by June 30, 2019 for the October- February session and by November 30, 2019 for the March-July session. The start date of the traineeships is either on October 1, 2019 either on March 1, 2020.
