The Babala Defence team in the Prosecutor v. Jean-Pierre Bemba et al case at the International Criminal Court is looking for two pro bono legal assistants available to start on November 1, 2015, for a 6 months internship.
Interns will get the chance to participate to all aspects of the defence team’s work, from legal research to drafting legal arguments and analysing evidence. Interns will also be asked to support the team with administrative tasks. Working on the team will be a very intense and rewarding learning experience.
Who?
The team is looking for law master graduates (or in their final master year), with solid knowledge of international criminal law and great research skills. Any practical experience in international criminal law is an advantage.
While the working language of the team is French, both French and English are used in the procedure. Candidates must have good oral and written language skills in both languages. Excellent French writing skills are required.

All candidates will be informed of the result of the selection end of September. Applicants having passed the first selection phase will be invited to an interview beginning of October.
When?
The deadline for submissions is September 25, 2015. The internship will start on November 1, 2015.
