The European Law Students' Association, in cooperation with the Council of Europe, is organising the International Conference on 'Austerity Measures in the light of the European Social Charter' in Strasbourg, between November 30 - December 5, 2015.

The European Law Students' Association, in cooperation with the Council of Europe, is organising the International Conference on 'Austerity Measures in the light of the European Social Charter' in Strasbourg, between November 30 - December 5, 2015.

The conference concludes the one year Legal Research conducted by ELSA on the role of the European Social Charter (ESC) in maintaining minimum social standards in countries undergoing austerity measures.

Who?

Students, academics and anyone with a special interest in the topic are eligible to apply. Participants will be offered the opportunity to attend lectures, panel discussions, debates and working groups, designed to familiarize them with the topic of European Social Rights, and how they are affected by austerity measures.

How?

Applicants are required to fill in this registration form. Maximum number of participants is 50.

The participation fee is 125 euros, including accommodation, meals, transportation between venues, and social program.

When?

The conference will be held in the European Youth Center in Strasbourg, between November 30 - December 5, 2012. The registration deadline is October 18, 2015.
