The Law School at Koç University and the Center for Global Public Law in Istanbul are calling for papers for the 2016 European Society of International Law (ESIL) Research Forum that will be held in Istanbul between April 21-22, 2016.
Who?
PhD students with an interest in international law are invited to submit their papers addressing the theme of the making of international law, including the following set of issues: the interaction between sources of international law, customary international law, its formation and nature, non-state actors and international law making, the role of comparative law in relation to international law making, as well as specific problems relating to international law making in particular subject areas such as human rights law, environmental law, international trade law, etc.
How?
Applicants must submit a 750 words abstract, along with their name, email address and a one-page long CV to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Approximately 15-20 papers will be selected from among the submissions.
When?
The deadline for abstract submission is on November 1, 2015. Successful applicants will be notified by December 15, 2015. The forum will take place in Istanbul, between April 21-22, 2016.
