The European Network Against Racism (ENAR) is offering an internship on advocacy on Islamophobia as a specific form of discrimination. Interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the different aspects of working in an international NGO for equality.
The European Network Against Racism (ENAR) is offering an internship on advocacy on Islamophobia as a specific form of discrimination. Interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the different aspects of working in an international NGO for equality.
Who?
Applicants with a university degree in law, political science or human rights may apply. Applicants must also meet further requirements, such as proficiency in English, strong drafting skills, communication skills, as well as commitment to the struggle against racism and the promotion of equal rights and an understanding of human rights, anti-racism, anti-discrimination, advocacy and campaigning.
How?
The internship will take place between January-July 2016 and is full time. Interns will have the opportunity to assist the ENAR team and in particular the Policy Officer and Director in activities such as:
- Updating, researching and drafting policy documents, fact sheets and position papers on Islamophobia, racism, equal treatment and other related issues;
- Monitoring and mapping policy developments within the European institutions;
- Designing conferences and relevant meetings related to Islamophobia;
- Attending and reporting on internal and external meetings;
Interns will receive a remuneration of 1000 EUR per month, as well as lunch vouchers.
