Master in Public International Law - University of Groningen

This Master offers students a strong foundation in the fields of public international law, as well as training of the academic, legal and practical skills. The programme also offers flexibility as far as the choice of courses is concerned – students can choose a peace & security, an economic/environmental or a dispute settlement profile. The programme prepares students for the international legal environment, either at the national government level, at an international organisation or an international non-governmental agency.

2. Necessary Docs: 

- the fully completed application online (via Studentlink)

- a certified copy of the candidate’s academic transcript from his/her university

- a certified copy of the LLB degree certificate

- two academic references

- a letter of motivation

- a curriculum vitae

 - photocopy of the passport (the page with the date of issue and expiry, personal details and picture)

-  evidence of English proficiency (TOEFL: at least 92, IELTS: at least 6.5, CPE or CAE)

* Internship: not required, but recommended


Career prospects: governmental institutions and ministries, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, international enterprises and academic institutions, as well as large law firms, in fields such as trade & investment, environment, energy, human rights, social affairs.
