LL.M. in Natural Resources Law and International Environmental Law - University of Iceland
The master program at the Faculty of Law, University of Iceland is a specialised Masters-Program in law created for students from around the world who have reached a relatively high standard in their basic legal education (corresponding to a law degree after at least three years of law studies) and want to focus on legal rules relating to natural resources and issues of environment or resource management in an international and European perspective.

Price/Fee: The University of Iceland does not charge tuition fees, but the annual registration fee is ISK 75,000.. 1 ISK is 0.0070711 EUR. 75,000 ISK is 530,25 EUR
Applicants with citizenship outside the EEA/EFTA are required to pay a handling and processing fee of € 50 (ISK 8,000).

Application Process:
1. First Step- The deadline for international students (other than exchange students) to apply for graduate studies is 1 February 2016 (for the 2016-2017 academic year).
Nordic citizens are exempted and may apply for graduate studies until 15th April.

Program Structure:
• Courses ( 90 ECTS)
Compulsory: 60 credits
1. Basic course in Public International Law (6 ECTS)
2. International Environmental Law and Sustainable Development (10 ECTS)
3. International Human Rights Law (6 ECTS)
4. EU Environmental Law (6 ECTS)
5. Natural Resources Law (Basic Course) (6 ECTS)
6. Law of the Sea (6 ECTS)
7. International Economic Law (6 ECTS)
8. EU- EEA Law I (6 ECTS)
9. EU- EEA Law II (6 ECTS)
In addition to the courses mentioned above, there will be taught at least two seminars per semester each 2 ECTS.
Optional
Extra : Basic Course in Public International Law (6 ECTS) (the course is a free elective one)
Thesis : the final paper counts for 30 ECTS
