Bucerius Law School, Master of Law and Business

Bucerius Law School is Germany's first private law school. After its foundation in 2000, it quickly established its position as the top-ranked law school and has maintained this rank since 2008.The prestigious CHE University Ranking has repeatedly awarded top marks to Bucerius Law School, commending it for its first-rate study conditions and excellent student-to-professor ratio. The school is particularly known for its German-taught law degree program, which leads up to the First German State Examination. The English-taught programs offered by Bucerius Law School include the Master of Law and Business (LL.M./MLB) and three intensive Summer Programs.

Master Name and Type : The Bucerius Master of Law and Business (LL.M. / MLB) is a one-year graduate program for young professionals with a professional or academic interest in the interrelation between law and business. The curriculum of the Bucerius Master of Law and Business is designed to illustrate the close relationship between legal and business issues in every stage of a company's lifecycle, which therefore serves as the structural backbone of the program.

The Europa-Kolleg Hamburg is an internationally recognised, interdisciplinary institution for education and research in the field of European integration. With the Institute for European Integration and two Master Programmes, the Europa-Kolleg Hamburg offers an excellent platform for research, teaching and learning in the area of European studies. Renowned lecturers, the specialised library for European studies, the integrated residential area, important projects, events and publications provide a stimulating environment for students and researchers from around the world who have the highest expectations in the area of European integration.

Master Name and Type : The Master Programme is, in its introductory parts, devoted to the legal, economic and political aspects of European integration. Subsequent elective specialisation classes address the EU as a political actor, the external relations of the EU, Companies as economic actors or the law of the EU. The two-semester Master Programme ‘European and European Legal Studies’ is run by the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Hamburg in cooperation with the Institute for European Integration (at the Foundation Europa-Kolleg Hamburg), an academic institution at the University of Hamburg according to para. 95 of the Hamburg Law on Higher Education. After successfully completing the programme either the academic degree ‘Master of Arts (M.A.)‘ or ‘Master of Laws (LL.M.)‘ will be awarded.

Heidelberg University Corporate Restructuring LLM

Heidelberg University is a public research university in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Munich IP Law Centre

The MIPLC takes particular pride in its distinguished faculty, one of the core pillars of any educational institution. The active faculty members are highly respected researchers and practitioners who among them have a wealth of experience. The majority are tenured professors and researchers working with one of the four MIPLC partners or with other renowned universities such as the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics, the University of California, and Columbia University. Others work as attorneys for renowned and internationally active law firms including Bird & Bird or Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer; as IP officials for the European Patent Office or the World Intellectual Property Organization; as judges; or as practitioners in the world of corporate IP.

The MIPLC(LLM) provides a truly international and interdisciplinary experience, thanks to its four partners, international faculty, and students from all over the world.

With just 38 students per year, the program guarantees intensive interaction between students, professors, and staff, as well as personalized support. The program is suitable for law graduates and students with other backgrounds alike, offering a wide variety of modules to choose from. Also the program is supplemented with study visits to European Patent Office and other IP organizations, an optional study visit to Washington, D.C., and guest lectures and talks throughout the year.
