Armistice (Military Conflicts) [Ro.: armistițiu, Fr.: armistice, Sp.: armisticio, It.: armistizio, Gr.: εκεχειρία] (See also: war, peace treaty) = it consists in a formal agreement that occurs during war, between two or more parties and it implies that the involved parties should stop from any hostile action for a certain amount of time. An armistice does not equal peace, which means that when it ends, war may start again. It can also imply discussions about making peace, however it is not always fruitful.
