Social dumping (labour law) (Ro.: dumping social, Fr.: dumping social, n.m., Gr.: κοινωνικό ντάμπινγκ, Cz.: sociální dumping) (See also: equal payment, equal treatment, labour exploitation, social protection, working conditions, workers’ rights) = the practice used by employers aiming to increase their profit, by using cheaper workforce than the one available in their country/region, by two means: employment of migrant workers in less favourable terms, or movement of the production onto another area, where the accepted labour and payment conditions are less favourable.
